Good Mornin' Earrings
Tiffany Threadgould, Tiffany Tomato Designs

Web Site

Good Mornin' earrings are made from stale pieces of cereal. In this instance, Corn Pops are used. Old milk cartons are also used in the earrings and as the packaging. These earrings are part of a balanced wardrobe. The cereal has been dipped in a protective coating so they don't stick to your face. It's not recommended to bite into them... even in an emergency. You don't want to ruin your pretty new earrings, now do you? Earring backs are sterling silver. Value: $20

Tiffany Threadgould began Tiffany Tomato Designs as she worked on her graduate degree at Pratt Institute. Her thesis work was called Trash Nouveau reincarnating garbage into usable products. The streets of New York provided great inspiration and material for her work. As she worked on her designs the garbage began to take on its own personality and much thought was given to the previous life in the new designs. This resulted in the use of metaphors in the new products. Reusing garbage to create new products is a way that not only helps reduce material put in landfills, but also helps create an awareness for using garbage as a raw material.
