SewBitchy Designs was born out of swaporamarama. In 2006, after volunteering for the event Chrystine was so drawn in and excited by what all the artists were doing she immediately knew she wanted to start her own business re-designing clothing from scratch and recycled items. A hobby sewer for many many years, she always wanted to design, but just didn't know it would be in this sense. Being a part of swaporamarama and the fact that she mainly bought second hand clothing to start with just put all the pieces together. It was a natural progression for her. She enjoys the feeling that she's doing something good every time she designs a piece, saving all those textiles from the horrible life of the trash bin. With a focus on retro 80's mashed up with the 60's Chrystine's designs are all about being uniquely you and not part of the status quo.
